1. How long is the life span of guppy fish?

The life span of a guppy is not long, and it can only live for 2-3 years. The life cycle of this fish is short, but its reproductive capacity is very strong. It can reproduce in every season. If the living conditions are good, this fish can begin to breed 2-3 months after birth. Peacock fish can be produced once a month, with 10-120 small fish each time. But frequent production will shorten the life span of the guppy. In addition, changes in water quality will also affect the longevity of this fish. Peacock fish should not only ensure the purity of water quality but also pay attention to the control of temperature during the breeding period.

2. How to raise a guppy?

Peacock fish has a strong ability to adapt to the surrounding environment, so the requirements for the living environment are not high. However, the aquarium in which the malachite is raised needs to be cleaned and disinfected regularly. The water in the tank needs to stand for 3 to 5 days, remove the chlorine in the water and then put it into the tank. Nitrifying bacteria can also be added to the tank to increase the oxygen content in the water. The density of fish raised in the tank should not be too high, and it is better to isolate the female fish after pregnancy. The water temperature shall be controlled between 23-28 ℃. Good water quality directly affects the growth cycle of the guppy, so ensuring clean water quality is also the top priority for raising this fish.

Peacock fish like to eat some plankton and insects. They can be fed mainly with live bait and supplemented by feed to ensure their balanced nutrition. After feeding, food residues and their excrement should be cleaned up. A complete filtration system is preferred in the cylinder. Although the environmental requirements of guppy are not high, it is better to add a heater in the tank in winter, so that the fish raised will be more lively and active, which is conducive to their healthy growth.
